Job description

Role overview

The Finance and Business Planning team at Meta serves as the company’s strategic finance function, helping guide prioritization, resource allocation, and long-range business planning. This role is for a Finance Business Operations Manager within the Marketing Finance group, focused on supporting Meta’s Business Marketing organization. You will work closely with marketing executives as a reliable financial partner, helping shape strategy, inform investment choices, and support shared business outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

The position calls for strong strategic judgment, the ability to build trust across senior stakeholders, clear communication, and an analytical, action-oriented approach. You’ll help translate shifting business models into financial insight, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and support annual as well as multi-year planning decisions.

What you will do

  • Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning for Business Marketing teams.
  • Deliver analysis and practical insights that help guide important organizational decisions.
  • Improve how marketing channels and revenue drivers are measured, and help shape marketing spend allocation.
  • Analyze investment opportunities, including return on marketing spend and lifetime value frameworks, to support better decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders across marketing, product growth, and decision science.
  • Partner with central and horizontal Finance and Business Planning teams to streamline or automate core processes and encourage internal adoption of AI tools.
  • Prepare executive-level financial review materials for VP and CFO audiences, turning complex spend data into clear narratives about performance, risk, and opportunity.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess how campaign launches, investment changes, and organizational shifts affect overall spend trends.
  • Identify emerging risks and upside opportunities early and provide data-backed recommendations to leadership.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, or a similar analytical function with growing responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working with data sets and finance/analytics systems such as Hyperion and SQL.
  • Track record of building trusted partnerships at progressively more senior levels, influencing decisions, and aligning stakeholders on financial goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining financial analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.

Preferred background

  • Experience working with stakeholders across multiple levels and functions.
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in financial planning and analysis to improve forecast quality, speed up scenario modeling, or automate reporting.
  • Background in go-to-market, marketing, marketing finance, or digital advertising.
  • Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk checks, bias mitigation, and quality reviews.
  • Experience using ROI and lifetime value frameworks to improve marketing investment decisions.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership in high-growth or rapidly changing environments.
  • Ongoing development in AI skills such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, with awareness of new AI technologies.
  • Ability to use AI tools to redesign workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency and quality.
