Role Overview

Crossing Hurdles is hiring a Film and Video Editor to work remotely on a part-time basis. The position focuses on helping train AI systems using professional editing knowledge, with an emphasis on narrative flow, shot choice, and visual storytelling.

This opportunity requires a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours and involves close coordination with technical teams as well as creative stakeholders involved in production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Use your film and video editing expertise to train AI models, especially around storytelling, shot selection, and building strong visual narratives.
Work alongside technical teams by supplying annotated examples, practical feedback, and guidance related to editing tasks.
Review, sort, and structure video assets while partnering with producers or directors to improve efficiency in final production workflows.
Synchronize audio tracks with video content to ensure smooth and cohesive audio-visual output.
Assess AI-produced edits and provide clear written and spoken feedback to help improve model performance.
Promote effective practices for pacing, timing, and visual clarity within the AI editing workflow.

Requirements

Proven experience editing film, video, or digital media content.
Hands-on proficiency with professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong communication abilities in both written and spoken form, along with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working with producers or directors to translate creative intent into post-production output.
Good understanding of pacing, synchronization, and visual storytelling techniques.

Additional Information

This is a remote, part-time contract role based in the United Kingdom. The expected workload is 10 to 40 hours per week.
