About FlowX.AI
FlowX.AI is a cutting-edge AI platform designed for large-scale, mission-critical applications across diverse regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, government, and defense. The company is now expanding into logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and construction verticals, providing robust governance and reliability for AI agents managing vital business processes.
Role Overview
The Field Strategist for Logistics serves as a vital link between actual freight and logistics operations and the way FlowX.AI designs and markets its AI solutions. This position requires firsthand operational insight, enabling credible representation within sales engagements, constructing compelling business cases for executive decision-makers, and ensuring offerings accurately reflect real-world workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and presales teams to conduct discovery sessions and gap analysis workshops with prospects in logistics, transportation, and third-party logistics (3PL).
- Convert operational challenges, such as tender management, billing, dispatch, and performance KPIs, into financially backed business cases targeted at economic buyers.
- Advocate the operational viewpoint during discussions with operations VPs and procurement executives, using industry-specific terminology related to OTIF, tender acceptance, cost-per-mile, and claims ratio.
- Analyze customer technology ecosystems—including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), load boards, and visibility solutions—and align these with FlowX's platform capabilities to uncover integration and automation potentials.
- Support responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid desk dialogues leveraging practical knowledge of rate negotiation, lane awards, and contract cycles.
- Design and test Proofs of Concept that mirror true warehousing, transportation, or brokerage workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors in AI for logistics and effectively communicate FlowX's unique advantages.
- Relay field and operator insights back to product development and marketing teams to enhance messaging accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Seven to ten or more years of experience combining logistics/freight operations with client-facing roles in strategy, transformation, or sales engineering.
- Direct operational experience in warehousing, distribution centers, or transportation operations, demonstrating a deep understanding of daily workflows beyond theoretical knowledge.
- Extensive familiarity with tender and RFP processes, including bid desk management, carrier procurement, freight sourcing, and insight into rate negotiation and contract award mechanisms.
- Proven history of responsibility for customer-facing KPIs, such as OTIF, on-time pickup and delivery, tender acceptance rates, claims ratios, and cost metrics, with experience reporting to operational or procurement leadership.
- Experience managing P&L or budgets at the business unit, lane, or facility level, with a sound understanding of profit margins.
- Expertise using freight technology stacks like McLeod, Tai TMS, Trimble, Descartes, DAT load boards, and related tools including Parade, MacroPoint, Highway, and Carrier Assure.
- Confidence in presenting and defending dollar-based business cases to VP and C-suite economic buyers.
- Experience running structured discovery and gap-analysis workshops using methodologies such as Gap Selling.
- Working knowledge of competitive AI logistics solutions providers (e.g., Augment, Vooma, Arnata, Boon, Drumkit, HappyRobot, Pallet).
Preferred Extras
- Hands-on experience in dedicated or private fleet operations, asset-based trucking, freight brokerage, or warehouse and 3PL management.
- Exposure to invoice reconciliation tasks, CMR/BOL documentation workflows, or driver Hours of Service (HOS) planning.
- Direct experience negotiating and overseeing customer or carrier contracts, including rate agreements, SLAs, accessorial charges, and detention/demurrage conditions.
