Job description

Overview

This position offers an outstanding chance for individuals with backgrounds in electrical, electronic, mechanical, avionics, or biomedical fields to engage with advanced medical imaging technology. The role provides a distinctive combination of local hands-on training in Australia and international exposure, enhancing expertise across a variety of Medical Imaging systems including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nuclear Medicine.

Location and Coverage

The role is based in Palmerston North or Hawke's Bay, primarily servicing customers across the lower North Island of New Zealand. Collaboration with the Southern New Zealand team is essential for delivering high-quality technical support and service region-wide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, system updates, upgrades, corrective repairs, and equipment installations.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth operational workflows and prompt service execution.
  • Complete Service Reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continuous training modalities such as self-study, e-learning, mentorship, and practical experience.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety protocols diligently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Technical or trade certification is required.
  • Candidates must be confident working independently.
  • Holding a current New Zealand Electrical Service Technician’s electrical registration is advantageous; however, candidates must be eligible and prepared to obtain this credential promptly if not already held.
  • A Radiation License is a plus and can be supported by the company if needed.
  • Possession of an unrestricted driver's license is mandatory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout New Zealand and internationally.
  • Applicants must hold legal work rights in New Zealand.
