About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in electrical, electronic, mechanical, avionics, or biomedical fields interested in working with advanced medical imaging technology. The position involves comprehensive training both locally in Australia and internationally, providing knowledge and skills to support a range of products including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Nuclear medicine systems.
The role is based in Palmerston North or Hawke's Bay and primarily involves supporting clients across the lower North Island, collaborating closely with the Southern New Zealand team to ensure outstanding technical service delivery throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting preventative maintenance, software updates, upgrades, corrective repairs, and installations on equipment
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient service operations and timely resolution of issues
- Completing Service Reports promptly and accurately
- Expanding technical expertise continuously through self-directed learning, online courses, mentorship, and practical experience
- Complying with all Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and policies
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Technical or trade qualification in a relevant field
- Ability to work independently with confidence
- Preferably holds current New Zealand Electrical Service Technician registration; otherwise, must be eligible to obtain this quickly
- Radiation license is beneficial and support will be provided to acquire it if needed
- Unrestricted driver's license
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout New Zealand and internationally
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
