Job description
About the team
The Regional UK and Ireland team is responsible for driving Deliveroo’s results across all four nations of the UK and Ireland. Working from Brighton to London, Bognor to Belfast, the team understands the local markets it serves. In this role, you will support the regional UKI function by bringing the best restaurants in the area onto the platform. The regional UKI business is one of Deliveroo’s largest growth opportunities, and the company is looking for commercially minded people to help realise that potential. You will cover the Limerick and Galway area and report to the Regional Manager.
The role
This position is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company operating in a competitive market. You will develop relationships with new restaurant partners in your territory, help strengthen the customer offer, and identify opportunities to support continued growth. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys relationship-building and working in a field-based sales environment.
This role requires a valid driving licence and access to a car. You should also be comfortable travelling around different parts of Limerick and Galway, as this is not a typical desk-based position.
Key responsibilities
- Research, target, approach, and secure new restaurant partners across the region in a structured and organised way, while staying closely aware of local dining trends and the restaurants customers are most likely to want.
- Reach out to restaurants through in-person meetings, email, phone, and social platforms to showcase Deliveroo’s technology and partnership value.
- Manage the restaurant onboarding journey so that it is fast, smooth, and efficient from start to finish.
- Drive strong early outcomes for newly signed restaurants during their first eight weeks on the platform.
- Try food from a range of premium establishments as part of market and partner engagement.
- Take part in restaurant and food networking events and meet-ups.
Performance measures
- Number of restaurant partners signed each month.
- Results delivered by newly signed restaurants during their first three months.
What you bring
- Confidence in generating new business and spotting promising opportunities in the market.
- Strong negotiation ability, with a talent for creating agreements that work well for both the restaurant and Deliveroo.
- A good commercial understanding of food delivery economics from both the restaurant and platform perspective.
- Excellent communication skills across face-to-face conversations, calls, and email.
- Ability to explain the product clearly and demonstrate industry knowledge to potential clients.
- A sense of ownership and the ability to perform in a target-driven environment.
- Genuine interest in food, hospitality, and restaurants.
- A proactive, persistent, and highly motivated approach.
Why Deliveroo
Deliveroo’s mission is to change how people shop and eat by connecting consumers with restaurants, shops, and riders. The company aims to make access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable, giving people more choice over what they buy, how they buy it, and when and where they receive it.
As a technology-led business operating in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries, Deliveroo remains a relatively small team with a significant impact. The company values speed, autonomy, ownership, and fresh thinking.
Workplace and benefits
Deliveroo believes people are central to the business and places strong importance on employee wellbeing. Benefits vary by country, but may include healthcare, wellness support, parental leave, pension support, and generous annual leave, including time off for charitable causes. Country-specific benefits can be confirmed with the recruiter.
Diversity and inclusion
Deliveroo is committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of the world around us. The company welcomes people of all backgrounds and identities, including differences in gender, race, sexuality, religion, and more. Deliveroo also supports candidates who may need adjustments during the application or interview process and will make reasonable efforts to provide the support needed for an equitable experience.
