About the Role
The Field Recruiter will support hiring for store leadership talent across assigned regions for Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s brand portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end recruitment process for store management positions, from attracting candidates through onboarding. The right candidate will create localized sourcing and attraction plans, partner with regional and district leaders to understand hiring needs, and help ensure a smooth and positive candidate journey. The position also contributes to new store openings, employer branding efforts, community outreach, training, and networking to strengthen recruiting outcomes and the company’s reputation in the market.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete hiring cycle for store management positions, starting from requisition opening through onboarding.
- Create and execute localized strategies to attract strong candidates in the markets being supported.
- Work closely with Regional and District Managers to understand staffing priorities and proactively present suitable talent.
- Develop and maintain connections with potential candidates through networking and community involvement.
- Coordinate with store leadership on open positions, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication and an efficient recruitment process.
- Collect candidate feedback, prepare hiring recommendations, and share insights with leadership.
- Use recruitment data and market knowledge to improve hiring strategy and results.
- Help store teams learn recruiting tools, initiatives, and workflows.
- Interview candidates, join recruiting activities, and assist with new store openings.
- Lead or support projects such as employer branding, market research, and data analysis.
- Travel within assigned markets up to 35% for recruitment events, university engagement, and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in talent acquisition or a related area.
- Proven ability to build and execute recruiting strategies in targeted markets.
- Comfort with networking both online and in person.
- Strong judgment in evaluating candidates and making selections.
- Experience developing localized recruiting approaches that support the full candidate journey.
- Adaptable, engaging, and able to work effectively in uncertain or changing situations.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work well across teams.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining professional relationships.
- Capability to handle high-volume work while maintaining quality.
- Interest in learning recruitment technology and staying current on industry trends.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to contribute in team settings.
