Position Summary

We are seeking a Field Coordinator to join our Beaverlodge, Alberta project. This role involves precise layout work, coordinating inspections, and monitoring construction elements to ensure quality and compliance. You will provide technical guidance by interpreting engineering plans and collaborating with consultants and multiple trades to resolve any design conflicts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute layout tasks accurately and efficiently on site.
  • Coordinate inspection schedules with consultants and regulatory authorities as per contract requirements.
  • Oversee rebar installation to verify conformity with structural drawings.
  • Deliver technical engineering assistance and interpretations of construction plans, details, and specifications to contractors.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings in consultation with consultants and sub-trades.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Educational background of at least two years beyond high school or similar combination of relevant technical training and work experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in construction engineering and layout work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for professional interaction with owners, architects, project personnel, and community members.
  • Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is essential.
