About Traversal
Traversal operates as an AI-driven Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) solution provider for enterprises, trusted by leading global companies to detect, resolve, and even prevent complex production incidents. Our core mission is to liberate engineers from continuous firefighting, empowering them to concentrate on innovative and impactful projects. Rooted in rigorous AI research, we've built an elite AI agent lab with a team that includes top researchers from MIT, Harvard, and Berkeley and skilled engineers from firms such as Citadel Securities, Cockroach Labs, Datadog, and more. Our team is dedicated to solving one of AI's toughest challenges.
The Role
We are seeking a Field Marketing Manager to design and implement initiatives that foster substantial connections with enterprise technology leaders and boost sales pipeline growth. Ideal candidates thrive at the nexus of marketing, event coordination, sales, and operations, managing executive experiences, industry conferences, regional activities, partner engagements, and integrated field marketing campaigns. As a foundational member of our expanding marketing group, this role offers the opportunity to influence how we engage and grow our community through meaningful, memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead Traversal’s field marketing and event strategies covering corporate events, sponsored trade shows, roadshows, workshops, and regional engagements.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of premier event planning and execution, managing timelines, budgets, vendor relations, logistics, and on-site operations.
- Develop and execute regional field marketing campaigns focused on accelerating sales pipeline objectives.
- Work closely with sales teams to align strategies and maximize impact.
- Collaborate across Sales and Marketing departments to develop initiatives supporting brand and business objectives.
- Analyze and report on campaign results, measuring pipeline contributions and return on investment.
- Implement continuous improvements by testing and refining programs based on data insights and field feedback.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in B2B field marketing within fast-growing technology companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing executive events, customer initiatives, and field marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in managing industry conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship tactics from initial planning to post-event analysis.
- Experience engaging both technical audiences (engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, platform teams) and senior executives through events.
- Ability to track and measure event impact on pipeline metrics, campaign attribution, and ROI.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors, agencies, and production partners.
- Exceptional project management skills with great attention to detail.
- Proven collaboration skills with Sales and Go-To-Market functions to integrate marketing programs supporting pipeline growth.
- Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment with shifting priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% as needed for events and programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in AI, infrastructure, developer tools, cloud, observability, cybersecurity, or enterprise software industries.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo.
- Basic graphic design abilities including use of tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva.
- Experience creating marketing and sales content supporting events, including emails, invitations, landing pages, social media, and sales collateral.
Compensation and Benefits
We provide competitive salaries, equity options, comprehensive health insurance, and other benefits. The salary range for this full-time, on-site role in New York is $125,000 to $150,000 annually, dependent on location, experience, skills, and knowledge. We ensure robust support through health coverage, quality tech equipment, flexible leave policies, and office amenities like snacks.
