Fertilizer Trader

Overview

A prominent international trading and investment firm is seeking a highly motivated Fertilizer Trader to join their Dubai-based team. The role demands a commercially astute professional with demonstrated expertise in sourcing, marketing, and managing physical fertilizer trades primarily in the Middle Eastern and CIS regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Spot, develop, and execute lucrative trading deals in fertilizer and mineral commodities.
• Oversee the entire trade cycle including procurement, sales, shipping logistics, and contract fulfillment.
• Establish and nurture relationships with producers, suppliers, distributors, traders, and end-users on a global scale.
• Engage in negotiation of prices, contract terms, payment conditions, and delivery plans with business partners.
• Keep abreast of shifting market trends, price fluctuations, freight logistics, and supply-demand metrics.
• Collaborate closely with logistics, shipping, and operational teams to ensure smooth trade implementation.

Requirements

• Minimum five years experience in trading fertilizers, chemicals, minerals, or agricultural commodities.
• Extensive product knowledge including Urea, DAP, MAP, Sulphur, Rock Phosphate, NPK, or similar commodities.
• Proven ability to manage international trade deals and lead commercial negotiations effectively.
• Firm grasp of trade finance mechanisms, Incoterms, letters of credit, and international shipping procedures.
• Established networks with suppliers and buyers across Middle East, CIS, India, and Asia.
