About the Role
This position is part of the food and beverage service team at JW Marriott in Doha. The role is centered on creating a memorable dining experience for guests through attentive service, smooth coordination with the kitchen, and professional handling of table service and guest interactions.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver a high level of guest service throughout the dining experience.
- Set up tables and ensure the service area is ready for guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to keep service flowing.
- Interact with guests and serve food and beverages in a professional manner.
- Keep workstations, supplies, and service areas clean and organized.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Work Standards and Physical Expectations
Success in this role depends on maintaining a safe work environment, following company rules and procedures, and meeting quality expectations at all times. A professional appearance, proper uniform, and clear communication are required. The job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, including movement across uneven or slippery surfaces. It also requires handling menus and performing hands-on tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. Objects may weigh up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates should have less than 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
