Role overview

Courtyard by Marriott is hiring a full-time Food & Beverage Service Expert in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a non-management position based at the Ajyad Street property, and the role is not remote.

What the role is about

The position focuses on creating a memorable dining experience for guests, not just serving food and beverages. You will help shape the guest experience through attentive service, smooth coordination, and a polished presence throughout the meal.

Key duties

In this role, you will set up tables, communicate with the kitchen, serve guests, interact professionally during service, and keep work areas and supplies clean and organized. You may also be asked to take on additional reasonable duties as needed.

Work expectations

The job requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to company policies and procedures, and consistent quality standards. Professional grooming, conduct, and communication are essential. The work also involves being on your feet for long periods, moving across uneven or slippery surfaces, reading and verifying menu details, and handling objects that may weigh up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance. The role may also involve bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and stooping.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred, along with at least 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory background is required, and no license or certification is needed.
