Role Overview

As a Food and Beverage (F&B) Hostess at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel by Tivoli in Doha, Qatar, you serve as the primary contact for guests entering the restaurant, ensuring a hospitable and efficient dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and manage seating based on the restaurant’s floor plan.
  • Proactively assess guest needs and promptly respond to ensure satisfaction.
  • Address any guest issues or complaints with resolution in mind.
  • Regularly visit tables to monitor satisfaction levels.
  • Manage reservations and cancellations adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Communicate reservation changes or cancellations to management accurately.
  • Pre-assign tables and attend to guest special requests diligently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at hostess stand and the dining area.
  • Ensure tables are properly set and ready for guests.
  • Monitor cleanliness and functionality of restaurant equipment and supplies.
  • Assist restaurant staff as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to deliver excellent service.
  • Maintain a positive and productive workplace atmosphere.
  • Exhibit flexibility by rotating across various food and beverage outlets as requested.
  • Support cashiering procedures and reconcile transactions.
  • Engage in training programs and complete other tasks as delegated by management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, polished appearance reflecting hospitality standards.
  • Customer service-focused attitude with the ability to multitask efficiently and stay organized.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
