Fashion Sourcer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fashion Sourcer based in Mumbai, India, with 3 to 7 years of expertise in fashion sourcing and merchandising. This role involves sourcing and managing fabrics, trims, and specialty materials, handling the process from initial concept through cost analysis, and working closely with vendors and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and procure fabrics, trims, and unique or unconventional materials crucial to fashion production.
• Manage the entire sourcing cycle from concept development to cost evaluation and budgeting.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and manufacturers to ensure timely and efficient sourcing.
• Source difficult-to-find materials beyond traditional channels, using an extensive vendor network.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess a strong network of vendors and established contacts within the industry.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of fabric types, constructions, and various production processes.
• Experience sourcing specialty and unconventional materials effectively.
• Skilled in costing, budgeting, and analyzing quotations for procurement.
• Manage vendor coordination, sampling procedures, scheduling, and follow-ups diligently.
• Exhibit resourcefulness, strong organizational skills, and persistence in meeting sourcing challenges.
• Preferably have solid vendor connections both within Mumbai and across India.
