Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Fashion Product Manager to spearhead global merchandise strategies within a vibrant, entrepreneurial environment. You will collaborate closely with teams across Design, Product Development, Supply Chain, Planning, Marketing, and Sales, influencing our brand’s presence internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement global assortment plans that align with brand and financial goals.
- Manage the direct-to-consumer buying cycle end-to-end by leveraging business analytics in partnership with Planning to optimize open-to-buy (OTB), sales margins, markdowns, inventory, and receipts, ensuring strong financial outcomes.
- Expand the department’s growth by constructing strategic merchandise assortments.
- Lead seasonal line planning spanning pricing, styles, colors, and sizing across different geographic areas.
- Analyze historical and current data to spot improvement areas in product selection, pricing, markdowns, and inventory; apply data-driven insights to surpass sales and margin targets.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to translate product visions into market-ready offerings.
- Keep abreast of trends and competitive landscape to shape product and customer-focused strategies.
- Ensure effective inventory management to maintain product freshness, maximize profitability, and meet stocking goals.
- Oversee global assortments for North America, Europe, and Asia, maintaining both regional relevance and brand consistency.
- Lead cross-functional seasonal strategies from concept through execution involving Product Development, Production, Supply Chain, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Sales.
- Facilitate business meetings to align diverse teams on seasonal initiatives and long-term plans.
- Coordinate with Marketing on integrated campaigns to support product launches and seasonal promotions.
Required Qualifications and skills
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in fashion buying or product management.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Robust financial understanding coupled with strong analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; French language proficiency is essential due to Montreal-based operations.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Momentis systems is considered a plus.
