About the Role

Fefona Farms, located in Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria, is searching for a seasoned Farm Manager to lead our commercial poultry layer operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall management and health of a large flock, ensuring all aspects of farm productivity and safety are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the health, productivity, and biosecurity protocols for the poultry flock.
• Direct and mentor a team of farm workers, ensuring tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Track and analyze data concerning egg yield, feed and water intake, and mortality trends.
• Implement and supervise vaccination schedules and health interventions.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records related to production and flock management.
• Drive operational efficiency to consistently meet or surpass set production goals.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess at least an HND or B.Sc. in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, or a closely related discipline.
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience directing a commercial poultry layer farm.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in poultry health, vaccination routines, disease prevention, and flock supervision.
• Exhibit sound leadership and problem-solving abilities, paired with diligent record-keeping.
• Experience overseeing farms with 20,000 or more commercial layers is a distinct advantage.
