Farm Assistant - Dunsandel Area

Role Overview

We seek a dependable and motivated Farm Assistant to become part of our farming team. The role offers flexibility as either a temporary or permanent position, subject to the candidate chosen. Our farm manages 900 cows via a 60-bail rotary cowshed equipped with Automatic Cup Removers (ACRs), Protrak, in-shed feeding, and Sensehub collars.

Key Duties

• Operating milking activities in a modern rotary dairy facility
• Moving livestock and distributing feed
• Providing animal healthcare and caring for calves
• Performing weed control and general upkeep of farm premises
• Handling tractor duties (prior experience preferred but not mandatory)
• Collaborating effectively within a supportive team while ensuring excellent animal welfare practices

Candidate Profile

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
• Possession of a full driver's licence is preferred
• Experience in dairy farming is advantageous but not required as we value the right attitude
