Role Overview

The Family Physician will be responsible for providing complete primary care services to patients across all age groups. This includes conducting health assessments, diagnosing and treating conditions, and managing both acute and chronic health issues. Daily tasks include in-person consultations, reviewing patient medical histories, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing treatments, and coordinating referrals to specialists and community support services. Preventive care duties such as immunizations, screenings, and counseling will be a key part of the role. The physician will also address urgent care needs on-site.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven expertise in Family Medicine and Primary Care covering all age groups.
  • Interest or experience in urgent care and community health management, especially handling walk-in and immediate care cases.
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine.
  • Licensure eligibility or active registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), with good standing.
  • Dedication to evidence-based practice, quality enhancement, and ongoing professional growth.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills, capable of collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with diverse and underserved communities, delivering inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic digital health technologies.
