About the Role

Sharecare is a premier digital health company dedicated to empowering people throughout their health journeys by integrating all health information into one accessible platform. This role supports members and their families remotely by offering personalized resources, resolving healthcare concerns, and helping navigate benefits to promote optimal health outcomes. The position begins September 14, 2026, with training from 8am to 4:30pm CT for the first four weeks. Employees must be available for weekday shifts, any 8-hour period between 7am and 7pm CST.

Key Duties

  • Respond to member questions by phone and chat about eligibility, benefits education, claims, ID cards, grievances, utilization management, and plan selections across medical, dental, and vision.
  • Assist members in finding providers focusing on quality and cost, helping with provider searches and recommendations.
  • Support inquiries related to spending accounts, pharmacy benefits, disability claims, incentives, rewards, and ordering durable medical equipment.
  • Help locate community resources and manage member preferences.
  • Coordinate resolution efforts involving providers, payers, and third parties concerning claims, grievances, appeals, utilization management, pharmacy, and spending account issues.
  • Offer proactive guidance on closing care gaps, benefits education, preparation for procedures, and referrals to care management or second-opinion services.
  • Explain employer-defined benefit designs clearly to members, engaging effectively via verbal and written communication.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong multi-channel communication abilities, including excellent typing, grammar, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to thoughtfully guide members through complex healthcare topics and benefits.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Either a two-year associate degree in healthcare/health sciences or equivalent healthcare experience specializing in benefit navigation and claims assistance.
  • Alternatively, prior roles such as health advocate, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, EKG technician, patient care technician, physical therapy assistant, nursing assistant, medical secretary, clinic manager, radiology technician, home health aide, occupational therapist aide, medical coder, or dental assistant are acceptable.
  • Experience providing customer service in healthcare settings, including contact centers or provider offices, and adeptness at resolving sensitive and complex member issues.

Additional Information

  • The start date is fixed and new hires must be able to commence employment on September 14, 2026.
  • Shift availability is Monday through Friday with assignments to an 8-hour shift within 7am to 7pm CST after training.
  • Attendance during the four-week training period from 8am to 4:30pm CT is mandatory and cannot be missed.
  • Compensation is $22.00 per hour.
