Job Overview

Certified Health Coaches engage in high-frequency member outreach through an automated dialer system, facilitating supportive coaching conversations to motivate members toward healthier lifestyles. This role operates Monday to Friday with shift flexibility between 10:30 AM and 9:00 PM CST, including work every fourth Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. A comprehensive six-week training from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST is mandatory without any absence allowed. Compensation ranges from $21.50 to $25 per hour depending on certifications.

Key Duties

Conduct inbound and outbound engagement calls to inform and enroll members in health programs.
Provide personalized coaching to reduce risks and promote healthy habits.
Follow up with enrolled members lacking scheduled sessions through outbound outreach.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, including nurses and external vendors, for coordinated care delivery.
Adhere to assigned schedules and caseloads, which may be individual or team-based, aligned with client needs.
Participate in regular meetings to report progress and share insights.
Document and monitor member progress and program effectiveness meticulously.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

Graduation in a health-related discipline (Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science, etc.) is required.
Completion of an NBHWC-certified training program is essential, with additional certification from NBHWC or CHES advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with motivational interviewing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use documentation and chat software for member interactions.
Experience or aptitude for contact center metrics and schedule adherence preferred.
Capacity to multitask during telephonic coaching sessions, including simultaneous data entry.
Knowledge of lifestyle topics like smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress relief, and sleep health is beneficial.
Ability to work independently, manage workload priorities, and adapt to shift changes.
Reliable wired internet connection is mandatory as Wi-Fi usage is not allowed.
