Job description

Role overview

The Department of Children and Families is seeking a Family and Youth Support Officer to join Regional Services Central Australia in Alice Springs. This position focuses on supporting at-risk young people through constructive engagement, outreach, social activities, and other early intervention or diversion-based approaches.

Primary purpose

The role is responsible for delivering early intervention and diversionary case management to young people who are at risk of entering the justice system, or who have already had contact with it. The aim is to help guide youth toward positive behaviour and safer outcomes.
