About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Family and Health Coordinator to become part of our team in Cheriton, VA. In this role, you will plan and execute programs aimed at enhancing the health and overall well-being of families within our community.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Health Science, Health Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related discipline required.
- At least two years of proven experience coordinating health and family services for families and children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a minimum of one year of relevant experience, bilingual abilities in Spanish/English or Creole/English, experience serving diverse groups, and familiarity with community resources and services.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage initiatives aimed at improving family health and wellness in the local community.
- Work cooperatively with professionals to ensure programs effectively meet the needs of families and children.
- Offer assistance and counseling to families requiring support.
- Maintain thorough and precise records documenting all program activities.
- Keep current with research and best practices in family and health service sectors.
