Job description
Role Summary
Prince Sultan University in Riyadh is looking for a male faculty member to join the General Studies Department. The university values a broad, inclusive academic culture and places strong emphasis on teaching quality, research contribution, and service to the institution.
The selected candidate will be expected to support undergraduate psychology instruction while also contributing to scholarly work, student development, and curriculum improvement in coordination with other faculty members.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate psychology courses.
- Carry out research that advances the discipline and strengthens the department’s academic standing.
- Support students through mentoring and guidance for their academic and career growth.
- Take part in departmental and university service duties.
- Work with colleagues to refine and enhance the curriculum.

- Doctoral degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.

Contract and Benefits
This is a one-year renewable appointment, with renewal depending on student evaluations and approval from the Dean/Director. The university offers a competitive compensation package aligned with academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience.
- Medical coverage for the employee and dependents living in Saudi Arabia, including spouse and up to 4 children under 24 years old.
- Transport allowance.
- Round-trip annual leave airfare for up to 4 family members: employee, spouse, and 2 children under 18 years old.
- Paid summer vacation of 2 months, plus 2 local paid holidays of around 15 days each where applicable.
- Children’s school tuition support up to SAR 30,000, with final details to be defined in the contract.
- Either furnished accommodation with essential utilities and maintenance, subject to availability, or a housing allowance based on academic rank.
- Annual end-of-service gratuity beginning from the second year of continuous service, provided the employee completes at least 2 years.
About Prince Sultan University
Prince Sultan University is a private university in Saudi Arabia and was the first in the country to receive NCAAA accreditation. It is also recognized as the youngest university to have achieved this distinction. The university continues to grow and operates from modern facilities in north-central Riyadh.
Academic Context
The university offers a Preparatory Year Program that builds students’ skills in English, Mathematics, Computer, and Physical Education/Health and Recreation before they move into English-medium undergraduate programs. These include Computer and Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, and Accounting, Aviation Management, Engineering, Law, Architecture and Interior Design, and English, Translation and Applied Linguistics.
Graduate study options include an MBA, a Master in Computer Information Systems, Master in Software Engineering/Cyber Security, and Master in Commercial Law.
