Facility Maintenance Technician (Hausmeister:in)

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive Facility Maintenance Technician to independently manage minor repairs and ongoing upkeep tasks across our buildings. This role centers on ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and cleanliness of the premises, including technical support for media equipment in meeting rooms.

Key Duties

• Performing minor maintenance and repair operations autonomously and with responsibility
• Providing technical care and upkeep for all facility-related systems
• Regularly inspecting functionality and readiness of media technology within conference rooms
• Executing manual work such as small repairs, safety inspections, material replacements, and maintenance rounds
• Maintaining safety protocols, tidiness, and orderliness of the grounds and buildings
• Coordinating and guiding external contractors and maintenance service providers, while overseeing and approving outsourced maintenance tasks

Candidate Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in a technical or craft profession
• Broad foundational understanding of building services technology along with practical manual skills
• Basic familiarity with media technology is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills in German (minimum B2 level)
• Demonstrated organizational capabilities
• Possession of a valid Class B driver's license
