Estimator (m/f/d) in Civil and Road Construction

Role overview

STRABAG is looking for a Kalkulator:in to independently prepare cost estimates for regional construction projects in the civil, underground, and road network sectors.

What you will do

• Handle the pricing and estimating of regional projects on your own.
• Prepare detailed quotations and cost calculations for small to large projects, with a focus on sewer, earthworks, and transport infrastructure construction.
• Review tender documents and quantity take-offs, while identifying opportunities and potential risks.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors and assess their services.
• Document each step of the estimating process in a clear and traceable way.
• Develop alternative solutions and special proposals.
• Maintain the standard data used for estimating.
• Coordinate closely with group and department leadership.
• Prepare and hand over the working estimate (AK0).
• Support ongoing projects and prepare change orders and claims.
• Work from home or in a mobile working setup is possible.

Requirements

• A completed degree in civil engineering, training as a certified construction technician, or an equivalent qualification obtained through further education.
• Several years of experience in estimating, construction management, project management, or a comparable role is an advantage.
• Confident use of common computer systems and software.
• Experience with estimating software, ideally RIB-iTWO.
• A focused and analytical way of working.
• Strong commitment and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
