Role Overview
The Facilities Manager position is a full-time, on-site job based in Montego Bay and Lucea, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the company’s facilities. This includes managing building infrastructure like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and systems supporting medical imaging. The role also entails coordinating repairs, scheduling preventative maintenance, interacting with vendors, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations related to safety and facility readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation, maintenance, and safety of facilities at Radiology West Ltd’s locations.
- Manage building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical imaging support infrastructure.
- Coordinate facility repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and vendor service contracts.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare safety standards and readiness for facility inspections.
- Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs and budget tracking.
- Oversee maintenance personnel or contractors and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to minimize disruptions.
- Respond promptly to urgent facility concerns, including after-hours or weekend issues as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in facilities management, building operations, or maintenance supervision within clinical, commercial, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) plus basic understanding of healthcare facility requirements and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, including experience coordinating preventative maintenance and managing vendor relationships and budgets.
- Ability to evaluate facility problems, prioritize necessary repairs, and resolve issues efficiently with safety in mind.
- Competency in basic computer applications and maintenance management systems for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clinical staff, administrative teams, and contractors.
- Capability to work on-site and address emergency facility needs after normal hours or during weekends when required.
- Technical or vocational training in facilities management, engineering, or building maintenance preferred; relevant degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Previous involvement in healthcare settings or familiarity with medical facility operations is a plus.
