Fabricators - Sheet Metal Workers Contract Role in South Melbourne

Position Overview

We are recruiting skilled fabricators for a contract role based in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. This opportunity is a temporary assignment lasting approximately 6-8 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The role involves working afternoon shifts from 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with options for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Expertly perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components guided by technical drawings.
• Operate various fabrication machinery including guillotines, press brakes, and rollers.
• Accurately interpret and set out workshop and engineering drawings.
• Communicate effectively within the team and workshop environment.
• Demonstrate solid fabrication experience in a similar role.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid trade qualification in Sheet Metal Work or Fabrication.
• Proven proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding methods.
• Experience handling sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to provide references from two previous employers.
• Must currently reside in Melbourne, Victoria.
• Right to work in Australia is mandatory.
