Opportunity Overview
Fortescue is inviting expressions of interest from Fabricators to join its talent community for future openings. The company, founded in Western Australia in 2003, operates globally across green technology, energy, and metals, with a strong focus on innovation, infrastructure development, mining assets, and green energy solutions.
As Fortescue continues its move toward a lower-emissions future and works to decarbonise its iron ore mining operations, it is looking for committed people who want to help drive its Real Zero goal forward.

Work Location
Roles may be FIFO-based from Perth, Busselton, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing, or Kununurra to Pilbara mine sites in Western Australia.
Rosters
Depending on the site and department, roster patterns may include 7D7N14R or 7D7N7R.
What the Role Involves
- Carrying out maintenance and repair work on large mining equipment
- Completing general fabrication tasks and associated repairs
- Working with maintenance teams to help achieve full schedule compliance
- Following Fortescue and site-level safety rules, procedures, and policies
- Delivering maintenance work to a consistently high standard
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian-recognised trade qualification in fabrication
- Prior experience with large mining equipment in an operational setting
- Strong awareness of workplace safety
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
- Comfort using Microsoft applications and computerised maintenance systems, with SAP preferred
- Current Class C Australian driver's licence
