Overview
This role is based in Darwin and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by helping customers recover after an insured loss or other disruptive event. As an External Claims Adjuster, you will take ownership of claims from the first inspection through to final settlement, combining technical assessment with clear communication and practical problem-solving.

Role summary
You will be responsible for handling claims end-to-end, including site visits, desktop reviews, loss assessment, cause analysis, and coordination with external specialists where needed. The role requires you to guide customers through the process in a calm, professional, and empathetic way while maintaining control of your own portfolio.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out on-site and desktop assessments as part of the claims process
- Manage claims through every stage until resolution
- Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Maintain precise records and prepare clear, well-supported decisions

Requirements
- Current driver’s licence
- Experience or qualifications relevant to loss adjusting, claims, property, or similar work are highly valued
- Legal right to work in Australia or New Zealand
- Ability to pass a police check
