Key Responsibilities

• Create diverse medical communication content tailored for various project requirements and audiences.
• Participate actively in enhancement initiatives within Merck's Global Scientific Communications Content Hub.
• Lead the production of medium to highly complex content while overseeing and reviewing output from less experienced writers.
• Ensure scientific content accuracy and proper alignment with Merck's messaging strategies through quality assurance processes.
• Organize and guide concept and content development meetings involving stakeholders within non-clinical domains.
• Act as a subject expert for designated assets and provide mentorship to junior writers.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with medical units and manage workloads to meet deadlines with transparent project status updates.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in medical communications, medical affairs, or clinical research.
• A demonstrable background in scientific writing combined with project leadership capabilities.
• Advanced academic qualification in science, medicine, or related disciplines.
• Expertise in therapeutic areas including but not limited to Oncology, Neurology, and Fertility.
• Strong competence in stakeholder engagement and project management.
• Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
