Role Overview

The Exhibition Director for Portfolio 2, which encompasses Cityscape Global and the Global Health Exhibition, holds a pivotal leadership position responsible for strategic growth and impeccable execution of event delivery. This role requires excellence in reporting and presentations, often to senior government and corporate stakeholders, thriving under intense pressure and event-driven demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster and uphold a positive team culture to keep staff motivated and valued.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, industry leaders, and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to align team efforts with sales objectives.
• Manage internal stakeholder communications effectively.
• Forge a reliable leadership alliance with AVP and EVP to develop event strategy, oversee budgets, and identify global growth opportunities.
• Create and implement a continuous strategic plan for event advancement.
• Preserve and enhance the event’s leading market position and brand awareness.
• Develop and control annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Define event focus per industry and user community needs.
• Encourage a supportive environment where staff achieve success.
• Oversee staff development, including regular performance appraisals aligned with company standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as an Exhibition Director, especially within the B2B domain.
• Strong skills in strategic planning and business acumen including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to build and leverage industry networks and develop long-term client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of the exhibition sector and competitive landscape.
• A keen understanding of current affairs, political influences on the event sector, and awareness of industry trends.
• Capability to innovate in response to market dynamics to maintain competitive advantage.
• Creative mindset demonstrated through application of market intelligence to enrich event content and multi-platform brand experiences.
• Understanding customers' business and information needs.
• Drive for growth and adaptability to ongoing change.
• Experience working in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia.
• Relevant sector experience is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
