Role Summary
The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Strategic Operations is a senior leadership role driving alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution to enhance enterprise performance, organizational transformation, and long-term growth. This role translates corporate strategies into actionable operating plans, improves cross-functional execution, optimizes organizational performance, and ensures strategic priorities are realized across divisions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute comprehensive strategic operations plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Convert corporate strategies into clear operational priorities and execution roadmaps.
- Align business units, functions, and regional operations with enterprise priorities.
- Establish KPIs, performance benchmarks, and accountability frameworks for strategic initiatives.
- Identify and resolve obstacles hindering strategic execution to improve organizational results.
- Collaborate with CEOs and leadership teams to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
- Lead enterprise-wide strategic planning, monitor progress, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives requiring executive consensus.
- Drive business transformation efforts including structure reviews, operational model optimizations, mergers, integrations, and change management.
- Implement enterprise-wide performance management systems along with executive dashboards to monitor operational and financial KPIs.
- Support allocation of capital, human, and technological resources optimizing profitability and growth.
- Lead efforts for operational excellence by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives encompassing automation, analytics, emerging tech, and adoption of digital platforms.
- Facilitate cross-functional leadership and strategic alignment across multiple departments ensuring effective communication, conflict resolution, and resource allocation.
- Develop and nurture leadership teams, succession plans, and a culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and execution discipline.
- Establish risk management, governance frameworks, and business continuity plans adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 20 years of progressively senior experience in strategic operations, corporate strategy, business transformation, operations management, or executive leadership roles.
- Proven ability to translate corporate strategy into effective operational execution.
- Demonstrated success leading comprehensive transformation, performance improvement, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs and organizational change.
- Track record of collaborating effectively with CEOs, executive teams, boards, investors, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in business operations, financial performance management, organizational design, process optimization, and strategic planning.
- Preferred experience in global, multi-unit, or highly complex organizational environments.
