Role Overview
The Executive Vice President of Operations is a senior leadership position responsible for directing organization-wide operations, strengthening business performance, and improving efficiency at scale. This role is central to operational strategy, profitability, growth, and execution, ensuring that day-to-day delivery and long-term company goals remain aligned.
The position leads major operational areas such as production, supply chain, logistics, quality, customer operations, facilities, and regional business functions, depending on the company structure. It also involves close partnership with the CEO, board members, investors, and senior leaders to drive performance and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Operations Leadership
- Set and direct the overall operations strategy across all business units.
- Oversee daily execution to ensure activities remain aligned with company objectives.
- Strengthen productivity, scalability, efficiency, and organizational performance.
- Define operational benchmarks, KPIs, and standards for enterprise-wide consistency.
- Promote accountability and uniform execution across departments and regions.
Strategic Planning and Growth
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on long-range business planning.
- Contribute to mergers, acquisitions, expansion efforts, and integration programs.
- Lead transformation initiatives and modernization of operational systems.
- Assess new technologies, process improvements, and operating models.
- Support global expansion and scalable growth initiatives.
Financial and Performance Oversight
- Manage operating budgets, capital investments, and cost control efforts.
- Improve profitability through better resource use and operational optimization.
- Track operational and financial performance indicators across the business.
- Support forecasting, business planning, and growth-focused initiatives.
- Ensure effective deployment of assets and operational resources.
Operational Excellence and Process Improvement
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and excellence programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- An MBA or similar advanced executive qualification is strongly preferred.
Experience
- At least 18 years of experience in executive operations or business leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-site, or global operations.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, transformation, and organizational leadership.
- Prior executive experience in complex corporate environments is preferred.
