Job description
About City Sprouts
City Sprouts is a social enterprise committed to uniting people and inspiring communities through shared green spaces, nature appreciation, and sustainability education. Our mission is to reconnect individuals with nature, introduce novel experiences, and foster meaningful connections between people and their environment.
We focus on adaptive reuse of spaces guided by the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. Our locations include the flagship Henderson farm (formerly Henderson Secondary School), Punggol's green roof and upcycled container structures, an urban farm at West Coast Park under SECUF, the Pasir Ris hub in the former Loyang Primary School, and our Bedok site (former Kampong Chai Chee CC). Expansion is planned at Pasir Ris Park in 2027 through another SECUF program.
Daily operations include hosting events and programs to connect people with nature, promote eco-friendly lifestyles, and foster knowledge of food origins. These efforts help build social resilience and tackle social isolation. As Singapore aims to locally produce 20% of fiber and 30% of protein in its 2035 food targets, City Sprouts advocates awareness of individual contributions through urban farming and supporting local farmers.
We also provide a platform for social enterprises, startups, and community groups to develop capacity and contribute back to society.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookings and sales for City Sprouts' event venues, handling inquiries, tours, contract coordination, and payment processing.
- Collaborate with teams to coordinate scheduling and maintenance of venue spaces.
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys to enhance service quality and customer experience.
- Elevate standards and quality of venue services and offerings, ensuring they remain attractive and relevant.
- Foster and maintain relationships with clients, service providers, partners, tenants, and stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Possesses diploma or degree qualifications in Hospitality, Events Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
- Experience managing venues and service providers; experience with placemaking projects is advantageous.
- Enthusiastic about engaging with people and nurturing professional relationships.
- A supportive team player who cares for colleagues and offers assistance when needed.
- Enjoys outdoor activities and exhibits a spirit of adventure for hands-on tasks.
- Willing and able to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Positive, open-minded, and eager to join a fun, meaningful organizational culture.
