Job description

Company Overview

Konnect is preparing to launch a new dating platform in late 2026 with a strong focus on emotional wellness, user safety, and thoughtful connection. The service is built for adults 25 and above and is designed to support authentic relationships, happiness, and personal growth. Created by an independent team rather than a large technology corporation, the company aims to offer greater transparency and more user control in the online dating experience. Its culture is centered on empathy, trust, and fresh thinking about how modern dating platforms should work.

Role Summary

This part-time, remote Executive Officer position is especially suited to a semi-retired or retired executive. The person in this role will provide high-level leadership across the business, helping shape strategy, support the company vision, and keep operational priorities on track. The role involves coordinating across teams, tracking progress against goals, and contributing to key decisions related to budgets, resources, and timelines.

Key Focus Areas

The Executive Officer will work across product, marketing, community engagement, and partnership efforts to keep each function aligned. The role also includes monitoring performance indicators, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth. Where required, the position may support fundraising activity, investor communication, and external representation at meetings, events, and collaborations.

Leadership Expectations

Working closely with the founders and senior team members, the Executive Officer will help build and protect a values-led workplace culture. A major part of the role is ensuring that the company’s decisions continue to reflect user protection, emotional well-being, meaningful connection, and responsible business practices.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in senior leadership, operational management, or strategic planning, ideally within startups or digital product businesses.
  • Exposure to consumer technology, mobile applications, social platforms, or similar sectors; experience related to wellness, mental health, or online communities is a plus.
  • Strong capability in managing stakeholders, developing partnerships, and building productive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Comfort using data to assess performance, define KPIs, and shape decisions across product, marketing, and operations.
  • Clear and effective written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain ideas to a wide range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, organize priorities, and collaborate across different time zones.
  • A firm commitment to privacy, safety, inclusion, and ethical judgment in business and product decisions.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred; an advanced degree or equivalent leadership background is an added advantage.

Additional Information

The job is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is offered as a remote part-time position. No salary, stipend, duration, start date, or vacancy count was specified in the source.
