About Singapore Pools

Founded in 1968 by the Singapore government, Singapore Pools is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing secure and trustworthy betting options to prevent illegal gambling. The company channels over $5 billion to the Tote Board for social services, community development, sports, arts, education, and health sectors. Annually, it also contributes approximately $2 billion in taxes and duties to the government. Singapore Pools' responsible gaming standards have maintained the highest certification level (Level 4) from the World Lottery Association since 2012.

The staff are deeply committed to community welfare, volunteering year-round to support disadvantaged children, youth at risk, underprivileged families, the elderly, and environmental conservation efforts.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, this role supports stakeholder engagement, secretariat duties, administration, and other operational activities within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate sponsorship applications following established guidelines and communicate promptly with applicants to gather necessary information.
  • Monitor sponsorship entitlements, track budgets, project status, progress, key performance indicators, and evaluate project effectiveness and return on investment where applicable.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community events ensuring smooth operations, including registration, food and beverage arrangements, and other logistical support as required.
  • Supervise event volunteers, foster positive relationships, and collect feedback on community programs.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with new and existing community partners; perform secretarial and administrative tasks related to these partnerships; support staff volunteerism programs and other community partnership initiatives as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Preferably holds tertiary education with a passion for social causes and has at least 2 years of relevant experience in community relations, partnerships, CSR, volunteerism, stakeholder engagement or related areas such as event management or sponsorship.
  • Experience or knowledge of the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills accompanied by analytical capabilities; self-driven and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with robust administrative and event management skills, capable of managing tasks from inception to completion.
  • Resourceful problem solver with resilience in addressing challenges.
  • Effective team player.
