Role summary

The Executive Director of Operations acts as a senior strategic partner to executive leadership, offering direction on growth planning, operational performance, corporate strategy, financial outcomes, and organizational design. In this position, you will work alongside the CEO, the executive team, and other important stakeholders to strengthen decision-making, uncover growth opportunities, reduce risk, and contribute to long-term business success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on strategic planning and business priorities.
  • Review market movements, competitor activity, and new opportunities to inform growth initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to organizational structure, operational effectiveness, and overall business performance.
  • Help shape and implement long-range business plans and company objectives.
  • Assess financial results and support leaders with data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with department heads to ensure operations stay aligned with company goals.
  • Spot business risks and contribute to practical risk-reduction plans.
  • Provide support on mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and similar strategic initiatives where needed.
  • Act as a communication bridge between executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Track KPIs and turn performance data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Represent leadership in meetings, negotiations, and special assignments as required.
  • Promote adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and governance expectations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, or a closely related area is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • Substantial experience in senior leadership, consulting, or executive advisory roles.
  • Strong capability in strategic planning and business analysis.
  • Solid understanding of financial and operational management.
  • Demonstrated influence in executive-level decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience supporting C-suite leaders or board-level stakeholders is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance and organizational development is an advantage.
  • Proven leadership and project management strength.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving and changing business environment.
