Key accountabilities

• Create and implement a procurement strategy built around AI, automation, scalability, operational excellence, and ongoing improvement.
• Direct, coach, and grow the procurement team while encouraging ownership, collaboration, and comfort with AI-based tools.
• Work with Finance, Legal, Security, and Business Operations to ensure procurement plans support business goals, compliance needs, and risk controls.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by recommending vendor approaches, sourcing priorities, and procurement improvements.
• Own major sourcing work, including supplier evaluation, RFP management, negotiation, contract handling, and vendor performance review.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle and improve accuracy, compliance, visibility, and speed through technology and automation.
• Set up vendor performance measures such as KPIs, SLAs, renewal planning, and ongoing relationship management.
• Identify savings opportunities across software, services, and operating spend without sacrificing quality or increasing risk.
• Develop AI-driven procurement workflows for contract review, spend analysis, supplier assessment, and forecasting.
• Test and expand emerging AI solutions that reduce manual work, improve decision-making, and increase team productivity.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to track savings, procurement performance, and operational metrics.
• Encourage a continuous-improvement mindset through automation, innovation, and data-led decision-making.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably in SaaS, technology, or another high-growth environment.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience managing procurement teams at director level or higher.
• Clear evidence of driving process change with AI, redesigning workflows, and improving operations in measurable ways.
• Strong background in sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, contract lifecycle management, and vendor risk reduction.
• A track record of delivering savings while protecting quality, compliance, and long-term business value.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, or agentic technologies is strongly preferred.
• Experience rolling out procurement systems such as CLM, spend management, or workflow automation tools.
• Excellent executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to establish credibility across functions and position procurement as a strategic business partner.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to use data and insights to shape procurement decisions.
