Job description
Overview
This is a senior executive finance leadership role based in Saudi Arabia. The organisation is seeking an accomplished finance leader to steer accounting, planning and financial control within a large, complex, multi-entity business that is in a period of growth and transformation.
The position reports to the CFO and carries responsibility for the financial integrity, governance, planning and performance of four subsidiaries. It is suited to a leader who has operated at Executive Director, Group Financial Controller or CFO level in a listed company or a similarly sophisticated international environment.
Leadership Scope
You will oversee three core finance pillars: financial control, tax and accounting. In partnership with the Executive Committee, Boards and other senior stakeholders, you will help define financial strategy while ensuring strong reporting standards, governance discipline and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the accounting, financial control and tax activities across multiple legal entities.
- Own the organisation’s budgeting, forecasting and broader corporate planning cycles.
- Ensure IFRS-compliant financial statements and timely statutory reporting.
- Improve governance, internal controls and the management of financial risk.
- Work with executive leaders to inform strategic and commercial decisions.
- Champion finance transformation and ongoing process improvement.
- Develop, coach and retain high-performing finance leadership teams.
- Coordinate with auditors, regulators, banks and external advisers.
- Deliver financial performance updates and strategic recommendations to executive forums and boards.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior finance executive with the presence, judgement and experience to operate credibly at Board level.
You should have led finance functions as an Executive Director, Divisional CFO, Group CFO or Group Financial Controller, preferably in a listed business or a complex multinational setting. Experience managing several subsidiaries or legal entities is important, along with deep capability in accounting, financial control, FP&A and tax.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, governance frameworks and internal financial controls is essential. A history of guiding large teams through change, growth and transformation will be highly valued, as will excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
Professional accounting credentials such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification are required. An MBA or Master’s degree would be an advantage.
Why This Role
This opportunity offers the chance to join a business at a pivotal moment, with real executive influence and the ability to shape the future of the finance function. It is intended for an ambitious finance leader looking for a strategic career step at executive level.
