Role Summary
The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of People and Culture plays a pivotal role in offering high-level administrative, operational, and calendaring assistance to the Vice President and other senior leaders within the People and Culture division. This role manages priorities, streamlines admin processes, and ensures efficient support to senior leadership. The role is located in Washington, DC with a hybrid onsite schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sensitive issues for the Vice President with utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Manage intricate calendars, prioritize scheduling tasks, and coordinate meetings and daily engagements.
- Support administrative and operational functions including drafting correspondence, reports, invoices, and screening voicemails.
- Organize travel plans, prepare detailed itineraries, and process expense submissions accurately and promptly.
- Represent the Vice President in meetings by recording minutes and preparing reference materials.
- Create and format documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Review and prioritize incoming communications, summarize or delegate as appropriate.
- Handle office duties such as maintaining records, ordering supplies, and assisting with HR and operations tasks.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by executive leadership.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline.
- Alternatively, a minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required.
- Ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and record management.
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
- Capable of prolonged desk work and able to lift up to 15 pounds when necessary.
Competencies
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management and multitasking skills with a history of meeting deadlines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quick adaptability to new or updated technology.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges from $62,000 to $78,000 annually. Benefits for full-time, U.S.-eligible employees include choice of two UnitedHealthcare health plans, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, a 403b retirement plan with generous matching, term and supplemental life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, back-up care, and an employee assistance program.
