Role Summary
The Executive Assistant will be the crucial support pillar for Kalshi's General Counsel and the entire legal division, facilitating seamless day-to-day operations. The role demands exceptional management of complex scheduling and travel logistics, anticipation of team needs, and acting as a confidential liaison between legal personnel, external counsel, regulators, and company stakeholders. Candidates with previous experience at a major law firm who understand legal workflows and thrive at organizing multifaceted workstreams will excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage detailed calendars for the legal department, navigating multiple time zones and prioritizing competing attorney schedules
- Coordinate comprehensive travel plans including flights, accommodations, transportation, and detailed agendas for domestic and international trips
- Prepare and compile documents, presentations, and briefing materials for meetings, board gatherings, and regulatory calls
- Oversee expense management including reports, reimbursements, and invoicing for external counsel
- Serve as a professional and discreet communication channel with internal teams, outside legal advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Maintain organized filing systems for contracts, corporate documents, and legal correspondence
- Organize legal team events, offsite meetings, and other special gatherings
- Occasionally assist with personal errands to maximize leaders’ efficiency
- Handle confidential and privileged information with utmost judgment and discretion
Candidate Profile
- Minimum four years of experience in supporting legal teams as an Executive Assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary, preferably within a large law firm environment
- Knowledgeable in legal terminology, workflows, and the dynamics of in-house or firm legal departments
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail capable of managing multiple complex schedules simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable liaising with external counsel and authorities
- Proactive and resourceful with strong problem-solving capabilities and initiative
- Adept at balancing various priorities and managing demands from multiple stakeholders
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet workload demands
- Trusted to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly
- Must be located in or able to work onsite in downtown Manhattan
Compensation
This role offers a salary range of $90,000 to $140,000 annually in addition to equity participation and benefits, reflecting current market data and variable levels of experience.
