Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the Medical Reports Section by ensuring medical reports are completed on time and that medical information is disclosed in line with hospital policies. The role also includes assisting with the day-to-day supervision of section operations.
Key Duties
- Accept and process requests for medical reports, including handling payment collection at the cashier counter.
- Manage incoming enquiries by email, telephone, and mail related to medical reports.
- Track down outstanding medical report items by following up with doctors on incomplete requests.
- Carry out administrative work connected to all medical report requests.
- Handle urgent or complex cases and make sure requestors receive reports within the required timeframe.
- Retrieve medical records for report preparation and for duplicate record requests from law firms and government bodies.
- Review medical reports carefully before they are issued.
- Help compile operational statistics, including monthly performance reporting.
- Take on other tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Requirements
- Applicants should have G.C.E. 'A' Level qualifications or a diploma.
- Around 5 years of experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology will be an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
- Good communication and people skills are essential.
- The candidate should be service-driven and focused on customer needs.
- A positive mindset, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are important.
- The role requires the ability to work independently and look for ways to exceed customer expectations.
