Role overview

This position is based in Burbank, California, and requires on-site presence four days per week. The role supports senior leadership in Disney Entertainment, with direct reporting to the SVP & CFO for Direct to Consumer & Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product and Technology, while also assisting the SVP of Subscription Planning at The Walt Disney Company.

The position is centered on high-level executive support in a fast-moving environment. Success in this role depends on building a strong working partnership with the leaders you support, understanding their business priorities, and helping keep their day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What you will do

  • Coordinate calendars for multiple executives and make sure time is set aside for thinking, travel, and preparation between meetings.
  • Arrange complex travel across multiple cities, factoring in time zones, traffic, weather disruptions, and fatigue.
  • Work directly with senior leaders and their support staff across the organization.
  • Assess daily priorities so phone calls and requests are routed appropriately.
  • Set up complicated meetings in both virtual and in-person formats.
  • Adjust plans quickly when urgent issues disrupt the schedule, then help restore order once things settle.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with full discretion.
  • Prepare letters and email communications on behalf of executives.
  • Support onboarding for new employees and serve as a helpful first point of contact for questions.
  • Oversee large purchase orders and vendor agreements.
  • Coach and mentor other support professionals on technical tools and collaboration skills.
  • Organize major events such as premieres, off-sites, and team-building activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an executive assistant supporting senior leaders, or an equivalent mix of experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, including strong grammar and vocabulary.
  • Ability to learn the executive’s business deeply and work with full awareness of its priorities.
  • Proven skill in juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, SAP, Concur, Confluence, and similar business tools in a Windows-based environment.
  • Comfort using a range of office technology and equipment.
  • Composed, steady approach when dealing with unexpected situations.
  • Strong interpersonal intelligence and the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Trusted handling of confidential and highly sensitive information.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile and proactively support leaders and teammates.
  • Some schedule flexibility when business needs require additional time.
  • Excellent organization and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional presence, upbeat attitude, and a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred experience

  • Background supporting C-suite or Senior Vice President-level executives.
  • Experience working at The Walt Disney Company or another large public company.

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation

The hiring range for this role in Burbank, CA is $79,400 to $106,400 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. Weekly hours may vary depending on business needs. Final base pay may differ based on internal equity, candidate location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
