Evolutionary Biologist - Fully Remote | Up to $80/hr

About the Role

This contract opportunity is for Phylogenetics PhDs and subject-matter experts who can support AI research by generating high-quality, technically challenging data. The work is fully remote and is designed for specialists in evolutionary biology and related fields who can collaborate with AI teams on model improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Create difficult, high-value problems in phylogenetics to help train future AI systems.
• Partner with AI research teams and contribute domain knowledge to improve large language models.
• Assess model responses carefully and provide detailed feedback to strengthen output quality.
• Work independently in an asynchronous setup while meeting project targets and deadlines.
• Maintain a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• A PhD or other advanced qualification in Evolutionary Biology, Phylogenetics, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or Ecology & Evolution.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Interview Process
