Role Overview
As the Events Manager at Fairmont Agra, you will oversee the entire Food & Beverage events operations, embodying the brand’s values and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will lead the events and banqueting team to uphold high service standards while aiming for profitable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation and execution of events and banqueting spaces to ensure top quality and appropriate setup.
- Supervise guest flow considering overall activity levels, maintaining team efficiency and service speed.
- Ensure back-of-house service areas meet hotel standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all event functions from client consultation through to post-event evaluation, ensuring seamless experiences.
- Handle event budgets effectively by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and identifying revenue enhancement opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout event delivery.
- Train, guide, and mentor the events and banqueting staff, promoting professionalism and continuous service improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations including conducting audits and necessary corrective actions.
- Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and internal departments for timely and efficient event resource delivery.
- Address guest issues professionally and promptly, ensuring positive resolution outcomes.
- Monitor event performance through feedback and metrics, implementing improvements to boost efficiency and satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Event Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record with 3 to 5 years of experience in events management, banqueting, or hospitality operations.
- Strong expertise in organizing large-scale events and banqueting functions.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene standards; HACCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with event management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated financial skills, including budget management and revenue optimization.
