  • Assist with event planning, preparation and live delivery.
  • Help create activation initiatives that encourage participation and bring more life to public spaces.
  • Work with suppliers, community organisations and internal teams to coordinate delivery.
  • Manage event logistics such as venues, catering, VIP arrangements and technical needs.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotional efforts that lift attendance and awareness.
  • Use feedback, reporting and event insights to support ongoing improvement.

What you bring

You are expected to be proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in busy environments where priorities can shift quickly. The ideal person enjoys turning ideas into real experiences and is motivated by community connection.

Experience and knowledge sought

  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach.
  • Experience managing event logistics, budgets and supplier coordination.
  • Creative problem-solving and practical, solutions-led thinking.
  • Genuine interest in community engagement and creating positive experiences for others.

Qualifications

Formal qualifications in Event Management are desirable, and practical experience in event management and activation delivery will also be highly valued.

Benefits of joining Playford

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • A flexible and inclusive workplace.
  • Opportunities to grow professionally.
  • Work that has direct value for the local community.
