Job description
Overview
The Gibson Group is seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to fully manage and drive sales revenue from inquiries to event execution across its venues. This role focuses on proactively developing business and maintaining strong client relationships to deliver exceptional events, with prospects for career advancement overseeing more venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly responding to inbound event sales leads by evaluating, proposing solutions, following up, and closing.
- Actively creating new sales opportunities through outreach to corporations, agencies, brands, concierge teams, and hotel partners.
- Managing multiple sales deals simultaneously while ensuring consistent progress and clear communication.
- Maintaining meticulous CRM records and sales pipeline hygiene using monday.com and other tools, including note-taking, planning next steps, and forecasting.
- Collaborating internally to guarantee seamless handover to event operations and that events meet The Gibson's standards.
Venues Capacity
- Gibson Cocktail Bar – accommodates up to 70 guests.
- Stresemann 95 Events – supports up to 250 guests indoors with full bar and kitchen, plus 200 guests outdoors.
- New venue in West Berlin – holds up to 200 guests indoors.
Candidate Profile
- Positive attitude, self-driven, and eager to learn.
- Verified sales experience in hospitality sectors such as events, restaurants, or hotels.
- Energetic, persistent, and motivated by targets and closing sales.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple leads efficiently without oversight loss.
- Strong CRM usage discipline, valuing pipeline management as a key skill.
- Fluent in English, with German language skills considered an advantage but not compulsory.
Compensation and Location
- Competitive base salary plus unlimited commission opportunities.
- Annual total remuneration typically ranges from €40,000 to €60,000, dependent on performance.
- Position is based on-site in Berlin, with an office-based work schedule.
