Event Promoter Representative - New York City

About the Role

Furtado Global is recruiting reliable local representatives to manage live shows on site in various cities, including New York City. The position involves being the primary liaison at the venue on event days, ensuring that each show runs smoothly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee load-in and load-out processes in coordination with venue personnel and technical crew.
• Ensure hospitality arrangements, green room setup, and artist rider requests are properly managed.
• Quickly resolve technical challenges related to sound, lighting, staging, and power.
• Provide attentive support to talent by greeting, addressing their needs, and maintaining schedule adherence.
• Maintain the event timeline and adjust calmly to last-minute modifications.
• Submit a concise post-event report to the internal team after each show concludes.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in live event production, having managed shows, concerts, or club nights.
• Possesses a strong understanding of live audio engineering or sound system operations, capable of communicating effectively with front-of-house and venue technicians.
• Displays composure under pressure and adapts swiftly to unforeseen changes during events.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to follow briefs and day sheets rigorously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working with performers and maintaining professionalism.
• Based locally in the assigned city or within a reasonable 2 to 3-hour drive from the location.

Additional Details

• Contractor role classified as freelance/independent (1099).
• Compensation is per event, ranging from $250 to $600 depending on city, event scale, and duration, with prompt payment after each engagement.
• Availability required during evenings and weekends when events are scheduled.
