Overview
Soho House & Co seeks a seasoned Event Producer to craft and execute a diverse yearly slate of distinctive member events throughout the Cities Without Houses markets across North America. This role reports to the Lead Event Producer, North America, and involves overseeing events from initial creative development to final execution and review.
Event Responsibilities
- Lead the full production cycle for a variety of events including dinners, concerts, workshops, talks, parties, member gatherings, and brand activations across North America.
- Manage multiple event projects simultaneously, creating production timelines, budgets, schedules, staffing, and contingency plans.
- Source venues, caterers, production vendors, entertainers, and other suppliers; organizing site visits, meetings, and rehearsals to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee on-site event delivery with meticulous attention to detail, managing logistics and swiftly resolving any challenges.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, risk assessments, permits, and insurance requirements.
Programming and Creative Development
- Collaborate with senior leadership and membership teams to design culturally relevant programming that aligns with member interests and business objectives.
- Bring innovative event concepts to life while maintaining alignment with Soho House’s brand values and inclusivity.
- Maintain current knowledge of cultural trends, emerging talent, and hospitality innovations within North America.
Creative Direction and Member Experience
- Partner with the Lead Event Producer to establish and realize a clear creative vision for each event, covering all aspects from venue and styling to service and guest experience.
- Ensure every touchpoint reflects Soho House's signature style and provides a welcoming, memorable atmosphere.
- Supervise photography and videography to capture key moments aligned with brand standards.
Talent, Partners, and Supplier Management
- Manage contracts, logistics, travel, and on-site needs for performers and talent.
- Coordinate with multiple suppliers and external collaborators to meet creative and commercial goals.
- Negotiate effectively and maintain strong professional relationships across all stakeholders.
Project and Financial Oversight
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, purchase orders, invoice tracking, and financial reconciliations for each event.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams to ensure timely payments and accurate contract management.
- Maintain organized event documentation and provide timely project updates to leadership.
Communications and Evaluation
- Prepare comprehensive event documentation including proposals, briefs, and reports.
- Manage event communications across teams and ensure accurate information distribution.
- Track attendance, engagement, budgets, feedback, and other success metrics to inform continuous improvement.
- Contribute to seasonal and annual event planning processes.
Additional Notes
- Represent Soho House professionally in all interactions with members, partners, and vendors.
- Support large-scale projects as needed and undertake other duties within role scope.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of five years' experience producing high-quality events in fields like cultural programming, hospitality, luxury lifestyle, entertainment, or music.
- Track record managing complex event projects with multiple stakeholders and budgets.
- Strong creative sensibility and deep interest in culture, hospitality, and member experience design.
- Excellent organizational, project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Trello; experience with GEM, Airtable, Salesforce advantageous.
- Knowledge of event safety, risk, and incident management requirements.
- Established network within North American creative and hospitality communities preferred.
Working Conditions and Requirements
- Willingness to frequently travel across North America and occasionally internationally.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
- Ability to work on-site for extended periods and handle physical demands like lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Must be based in Central or Eastern Time Zones of North America.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range between $80,000 and $85,000 USD, dependent on experience and location.
