Position Summary
The European Inside Sales Team Leader, Biopharma, is integral to our international sales leadership team, guiding business growth and expanding our direct presence throughout European markets. This role oversees the generation of leads and sales opportunities across all Biopharma product lines and customer profiles within the European addressable market to support sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and manage a high-performing team of Scientific Inside Sales Representatives focused on lead generation and opportunity creation, while aiding Account Managers in advancing sales opportunities through to purchase orders.
- Promote a culture emphasizing commercial excellence, accountability, and customer engagement, ensuring the team effectively utilizes customer acquisition platforms and data-driven strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Product Management teams to tailor messaging and value propositions to key buyer personas, facilitating qualified opportunity generation and customer meetings.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive prospect database, capturing all relevant Biopharma, CDMO, Biotech, academic accounts, and key stakeholders across multiple departments relevant to purchasing decisions.
- Conduct thorough analysis of installed instruments to identify cross-selling potentials and ensure alignment of instruments with service contracts and consumables across all company sites and laboratories.
- Design and implement a multi-channel editorial and communication strategy leveraging digital marketing, LinkedIn, email campaigns, webinars, and other engagement channels to amplify Nova's visibility and drive sales pipeline growth.
- Develop educational and business-centric content with a credible expert voice to foster customer engagement, promote thought leadership, and convert interactions into qualified sales activities.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to ensure activities align with revenue goals and translate to measurable results.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of international inside sales leadership experience specifically within the Biotech/Biopharma sector.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles involving capital equipment, consumables, and service contracts.
- Deep understanding of Biotech/Biopharma laboratory workflows, procurement, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling high-achieving inside sales teams.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com), prospecting and customer acquisition tools, digital marketing channels, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and standard office software including Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate scientific, technical, and commercial content effectively.
- Fluency in English required; additional European language skills considered advantageous.
